We won the N64 Homebrew Jam! This was a bucket list thing for me, in a number of ways; I owe a lot to my family & their support during the pandemic, the patience, skill, and organization of my teammates. It was an honor to be in the company of so many creative & hardworking devs as well as being judged by David Doak, Allan Findlay, Neil Voss, Snooplax.

I'm participating in the 2020 N64 Homebrew Jam (which will be judged by famed GoldenEye dev David Doak!) in which the goal is to make a working N64 ROM, compatible with original hardware and emulators. I did the music and sound effects. Today, I'm releasing the soundtrack, which comes with a playable ROM as a bonus item!

Upholstery is done!
Project was like 5 years in the making--I learned how to upholster myself during quarantine. Came from an idea that Pete Thorn shared: 4 different speakers with 4 independent inputs gives you more options for recording. Put it in a bigger box and your guitars sound bigger, more low end, flatter response.

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and subsequent quarantine, I met up with some game developers (Haphazard Dreams, GamesByChris), who made a hilarious game about the hoarding of toilet paper! I wound up making music that appeared in those dystopian grocery store battlegrounds in TP Royale. You can buy the game here on Steam.

I was asked to master this track by the ukulele group The Dancing Fleas! You can find it on Bandcamp, Spotify, and other streaming services.

My Australian programmer buddy and I entered the Timdred Jam with Hunting Gallery! For this game, we used Unity and--over the course of two days--tried to remake and enhance a simple, arcade shooting game from my childhood, Shooting Gallery from 1990 by Nels Anderson. Placing 14th out of 50 entrants, I think it's our most fun game to date!

I entered the Christmas Jam with a small, funny little game called The Gift which is playable in-browser. It was a solo project and my first time learning the extremely minimalist, adventure game engine Bitsy. I made it as a way of remembering my grandmother.

Megalink and I entered our first project together for Ludum Dare 42! The theme this time around was Running Out of Space. We used Game Maker 2, and toyed around with ideas of a prehistoric, caveman game. Eventually we resulted in Flood, a retro-styled game in which you fight animals to stay alive and find sustenance, seek refuge from the rising waters. Much of the character art, animation, and sound effects were done by me.

I participated in the 2017 Epic MegaJam! A game jam is an event in which people are challenged to make a game over the course of a very short period of time (one week). Hosted by Epic Games, we had to use their Unreal Engine 4. The theme was "However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light." A Kubrick quote!
Our group, the Last Minute Crew, consisted of 5 members (2 programmers, 2 artists, and 1 audio member, me) and resulted in Lightwatch--a first person tower defense shooter in which you fend of minotaurs, ghosts, and cats from stealing your light.

We participated in Ludum Dare 39, in which I wrote and engineered the music for the game Energy Tanks. The project took place over a brief and intense 72 hours. Out of 2,351 games, we ranked: Overall 76%, fun: 72%, innovation: 71%, theme: 78%, graphics: 84%, audio: 88%, mood: 80%!
